Tudo sobre Val Thorens... "The Town"

Sleeping
Self-catered accommodation is cheapest option here - try Erna Low, Le Cheval Blanc and Residance La Montana, they are right on the slopes. Hotels such as the Val Thorens and Le Sherpa offer more complete packages and for the deluxe option the four-star Fitz Roy c'est très chic.

Eating
Swedish restaurant Tango offers an alternative to the standard Savoyarde option with a great international menu. John's Restaurant makes exceptional burgers - try "John's Favourite Burger", it won't disappoint.
Les Saint Pere in the Gallerie Peclet is great for pizzas and local DIY food. Don't forget the highly acclaimed L'Oxalys near the entrance of the resort, but you'll need to book 48 hours in advance so they can tailor the menu to your taste.

Bars and clubs
Tango and Café Sne Sko have great bands during après ski. Next, head to Le Viking for big screen sports, free pool and Internet access as well as live music. It's also a great late night drinking venue.
L'Eclipse in the Gallerie Caron is open till 0400 and is a great French alternative. For clubbing go to the Underground for cheese and disco classics and Malaysia for a large London-style club with international DJs.

Shopping
There are two main areas in Val Thorens: Gallerie Caron in the lower part of town and Gallerie Peclet at the top of the resort. Both have every shop imaginable, including supermarkets.

Health
The sports centre in VT has a 50-m pool and spa/sauna facilities, as well as squash, basketball and tennis courts. There are also over 30 table tennis tables to waste time on bad weather days.

Internet
Le Viking offers cheap access and wireless. Also try the Office de Tourisme.
